Covid-19 Update

First and foremost, I hope you and your families are staying safe and healthy. I also hope you’ve been staying fit with my ‘Vinyasa at Home’ online yoga sessions. As you know, you can still join me daily. As we navigate through this time, my #1 priority has always been the wellbeing of both our community. With that said, I will only open my studio doors when I feel the utmost confidence in my procedures and precautions, to ensure that everyone is safe. I am staying up to data with all local regulations to make informed decisions and will update you.

Please note that the below are our initial plans. Things change and evolve, day by day, region by region. More information on classes and our procedures will be decided and communicated as we continue to evaluate the circumstances on a daily basis.

In November, I’m offering donated-based yoga classes. If you’re interested in yoga for flexibility, strength and stress relief, I invite you to my free Vinyasa Flow online Yoga Class on Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

Beginners welcome!

Yoga Class Types

Carina Flow Yoga
Movement and Breath

A dynamic practice leading you through a creative series of postures that balance strength and flexibility. We maintain focus on alignment and awareness of the breath empowering you to feel like a Zen Yogi.

In vinyasa yoga, each movement is synchronized to a breath. The breath is given primacy, acting as an anchor as you move from one pose to the next. A cat-cow stretch is an example of a very simple vinyasa. The spine is arched on an inhale and rounded on an exhale. A sun salutation sequence is a more complex vinyasa. Each movement in the series is cued by an inhalation or an exhalation of the breath.

Carina Flow Yoga

A vinyasa flow slowed down so you can enjoy each mindful movement. We will lead you through a creative sequence of postures that balance strength and flexibility while maintaining focus on alignment and awareness of the breath.

Postures are generally held for longer periods and the transitions are a little slower. Suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice.

Carina Flow Yoga

A total body workout, Yoga Sculpt classes are set to energizing music and designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. This class complements your regular workouts, while boosting your metabolism and pushing your strength and flexibility to new heights. Free weights are added to create resistance and intensify each pose. Strength-training exercises such as squats, lunges, bicep curls and tricep curls are incorporated to build lean muscle mass. You will see visible results in your body.

Yoga Sculpt is packed in with plyometrics, cardio, yoga, and weight-lifting all in one hour! But there is no need to sweat it before you even walk in the room. The workout can be modified for all fitness levels, and it is a yoga class at the end of the day – the true workout comes from listening to your body and taking care of yourself.

This therapeutic practice focuses on softening and surrendering to gravity. Floor postures are held for longer periods of time allowing a deeper opening of the body. Yin Yoga is a great practice for all levels and is complementary to the more dynamic yoga styles. It’s the perfect class to de-stress and nurture your body, mind and soul.

Vinyasa Power
Core Strength Class

Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic practice which focuses on accessing and activating the core during yoga poses.

Often thought of as just abdominal muscles, it’s more accurate to think of our ‘core’ like an apple core, running from the top of our head to the inner arches of your feet. With a strong core you improve almost every yoga pose and the whole practice of yoga becomes much easier and safer.

On a spiritual level, when the core is strong, the ups and downs of life are much easier to navigate too.

In Vinyasa Core Strength class, specific poses and sequences are designed to help students access and understand their core which improves alignment and stability as well as connecting the mind and body.

Classes are dynamic and bring benefits of stronger and more flexible bodies as well as helping with weight loss. They also bring benefits of increased focus, confidence and self-awareness.

‘Little Buddhas’

Let’s get on the mat with your kids and begin to explore the breath, salutations, postures, partner yoga and relaxation together! Our ‘Little Buddhas’ flow classes all take time to tune in and then sequence through the Sun Salutations, progressing on to warrior poses and balancing poses.

We have fun with animals and imagination. Each class finishes with a guided relaxation.

4 to 8 year olds

The first four classes in this group build on from each other, adding and learning a little more in each class. There is also a bedtime yoga sequence and a fun “yoga games” class too!

8 to 12 year olds

The first three classes in this group build on from each other, adding and learning a little more in each class. There is also a bedtime yoga sequence.

There are two classes in this group – once is a comprehensive introduction to yoga and the other is a fun partner yoga class.

Yoga Challenge – Parents and Kids

There are four ‘Yoga Challenge’ workshops for the older children. It is a structured series so it’s recommended that you practice them in sequence.

Carina Flow Yoga

The heart of this workshop is about becoming more self-aware, self-accepting, and self- actualized, on the mat, off mat, in practicing and in teaching. It’s about becoming clearer about one’s life path, what the yogis and spiritual philosophers call dharma.

We go deeply into self-exploration to discover our deepest longings and inhibitions, fears and joys, obstacles and possibilities. We use breath work, guided meditations, visualization practices, and other tools rooted in ancient to modern yoga and other self- transformation traditions to reveal our hidden truths, passions, and potential for living the most extraordinary lives in the here and now.

Lighter fare in a 3-5 hour workshop, pretty deep in a 1-2 day intensive, or as deep as it gets in a 5-7 day retreat.

Hi! My name is Carina and I’m here to help you find the confidence you need to feel amazing in your body!
